Join us for the next event in the ‘Family Saturdays with Theatre’ series at the Auchan Gdańsk Shopping Centre. This event is for children and their carers who enjoy discovering the world of theatre together and experiencing unique stories.

On Saturday 19 September at 1.00 pm and 3.00 pm, we’ll be staging the play ‘The Rubbish Bins Save the World’.

This is a very important topic, addressing the worrying state of our planet, presented in a way that is accessible and suited to a child’s imagination.
The story is set in the near future, in a world inhabited only by the eponymous ‘Trashies’. It is from them that the children learn what the world used to be like, why everything went wrong, and what can be done to put things right.
The ‘Trashies’ explain the concepts of recycling and waste sorting in an accessible way. They show children how, through their attitudes and actions, they can become eco-heroes, because, after all, the Earth needs saving every day.

We’ve organised a competition with prizes for the children. By attending the performances, they can collect stamps on a special participant card, and once they’ve collected them all, they can claim a prize – a gift card for the shops at the Auchan Gdańsk Shopping Centre.

This year, there will be three more performances to enjoy: on 17
October, ‘What Toys Do in Autumn’; on 
21 November, ‘Elemelek the Sparrow’; and on 19
December, ‘The Age of the Reindeer’.
